Carbone v. Seed Oil Scout 🍝

Below is Carbone's cease & desist sent in response to our viral flyer campaign stating "Carbone puts seed oils in their spicy rigatoni".

See our response below, we are not complying. Here’s why:

Carbone claims: "Contrary to your assertions, Carbone does not use seed oils in its spicy rigatoni".  

They should have asked the chef first.

Seed Oil Scout app users have collected emails from the reservation desk as recently as November 8, 2024 stating there is indeed sunflower oil in the spicy rigatoni.

It's also clearly labeled as an ingredient in the bottled Spicy Vodka sauce sold in grocers:

Given Carbone's stance that seed oils have no place in their spicy rigatoni, we will continue our awareness campaign until the public is presented with a plan to remove them.

We’re excited to give Carbone this opportunity to lead the way towards better ingredient transparency in fine dining.
